TROUT RUN ROADS CLOSED AFTER VIOLENT CRASH
A vehicle crash in which one driver was seriously injured, occurred Friday afternoon near Trout Run.  According to State Police, a mixer truck, driven by 40 year old Donald Pfleegor of Muncy, was travling south on State Route 14, as 21 year old Hunter Sanabria of Burlington, PA was traveling north toward Canton.  Police say Sanabria drifted into the southbound lane striking the mixer causing the violent collision which broke the axel of the mixer and sent a tire across the roadway.  Sanabria was extracted from his Suzuki Aero after about 30 minutes and was lifeflighted to Gesinger medical center in Danville with serious injuries.  Plfeeger suffered minor injuries.  Route 14 was closed while emergency crews cleared the wreck. The road reopened after 7pm.

TODDLER DEATH RULED A HOMICIDE
The Lycoming County Coroner has determined that the death of a toddler found unresponsive at a home in Old Lycoming Township is a homicide.  According to the Sun Gazette, police arrived on the scene at the 1900 block of Misner Road in December of 2018 for reports of a 19 month old boy who was not breathing and they resuscitated him, later succumbing at the hospital from injuries related to blunt force trauma according to Police Chief Joseph Hope.  If anyone has details about the death of Ky’Mani Moore, please call police.

GATEWAY PROJECT ROAD RENAMING UNDER DISCUSSION
A discussion has come up between City Council and officials with Lycoming College about renaming streets as the gateway project moves forward.  Choices for the private drive off Franklin Street include College place, allowing the college to keep its’ current address, or Lycoming College Blvd .  Council members decided to table the decision while the city and the college work out the details of the street realigning and renaming.

CONSTRUCTION LANE CHANGES THIS WEEK
A 6.7-mile resurfacing project on Route 147 in West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, continues this week. The project extends from Route 405 to Interstate 80.  Starting tomorrow the northbound lane restriction will switch from the left lane to the right lane in order to upgrade guiderail. The southbound lane restriction will remain the same next week as crews complete rumble strips and final line painting.

MAN TO BE SENTENCED FOR THIRD MURDER CHARGE
A man already in custody awaiting sentencing on a double murder charge in Lycoming County, will face a judge again in December on a third murder case in which he is allegedly involved.  A judge found 38 year old Joseph S. Coleman III, guilty in the Oct. 31, 2016, Poplar street murder of Shane Wright, and his mother, Kristine Kibler.  Sentencing in that case is scheduled for Nov. 20. According to the Sun Gazette, as police investigated the Wright/Kibler case, they discovered evidence that allegedly pointed to Coleman in the murder of Christopher Wilkins in August of 2016.  Questions arose during trial about whether the same gun was used in all the crimes, and Judge Marc Lovecchio decided there was sufficient evidence to go forward with a pre-trial for Coleman’s third charge December 12th

USAGE STUDY APPROVED BY AIRPORT AUTHORITY
An airport use study was approved by the Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority last week so that an aviation consulting company can gather details about air passenger destinations and departures.  According to the Sun Gazette, the proposal was accepted by the authority for just over 12 thousand dollars. Also at the meeting, Longtime airport executive director Thomas Hart also finished his final week at the airport.  The next meeting for the airport authority is November 14th at the aiport.
SLIDE CONDITION REPAIR IN LOCK HAVEN
PennDOT will be working to repair a slide condition along Hyner Run Road in Lock Haven starting tomorrow.  An official detour will be in place while Clinton County maintenance crews work along Route 1014 from Hyner State Park to Pat’s Ridge Road.    Motorists will be directed to use Routes 120, 144 and 44 to avoid the area and delays.  PennDOT says work will be completed by Friday weather permitting.

The Public is invited to attend the Lycoming County Commissioners debate Monday October 21st at the Trade and Transit Center in Williamsport.  Backyard Broadcasting, The Williamsport Sun Gazette and the Williamsport Lycoming Chamber of Commerce will host the forum that will also be broadcast on the air live.  If you’re unable to attend the event at the Community Theatre League arena 100 West Third Street in Williamsport, please tune in at 7pm next Monday to 1079 WLMY.
