Bryan Adams has reached another major digital milestone with “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You.” The song’s official live performance video has passed 1 billion views on YouTube.
The milestone marks Adams’ second video to reach that figure. “Please Forgive Me” previously crossed the same mark on the platform.
Released in 1991, “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” was written for the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The ballad became one of Adams’ best-known songs and a major commercial success.
The track spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also won a Grammy Award and received an Academy Award nomination for best original song.
The single was included on Adams’ album Waking Up the Neighbours. It also became one of the most widely recognized movie ballads of the early 1990s.
More than three decades after its release, the song remains one of Adams’ signature recordings and continues to draw large audiences online.
