SHAMOKIN MAN JAILED AFTER FLEEING POLICE, AGAIN
A Shamokin man with a history of fleeing police is back behind bars after another dangerous chase, this time ending in a crash in Locust Gap. According to the News Item, police say 30-year-old Cody Glosek refused to stop Wednesday night, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit through Mount Carmel and Mount Carmel Township at speeds topping 80 miles an hour. The chase ended when Glosek lost control and crashed. Officers say alcohol was involved, and Glosek now faces multiple felony and DUI charges and is jailed on 50-thousand dollars bail.
ICE PROTESTS IN DOWNTOWN WILLIAMSPORT

FCFP GRANT FOR WILLIAMSPORT FIREFIGHTER GEAR
The Williamsport Bureau of fire has been awarded an 11-thousand-dollar grant from the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania to replace worn out ballistic protective vests. WOMAN CHARGED AFTER SHE GIFTED A GUN TO A KNOWN FELON
A county woman is facing felony charges for allegedly giving a gun to a man she knew was not allowed to have one. According to the Sun Gazette, investigators say 27-year-old Kara Marie Watkins admitted she gave a handgun as a gift to 26-year-old Jaziah Strickland, a convicted felon. Police later seized the firearm during Strickland’s arrest in Lewisburg, where it was found inside a diaper bag. Strickland remains jailed on 75-thousand dollars bail, while Watkins is free on bail after waiving her preliminary hearing.
SOME COAL TOWNSHIP COMMISSIONERS TOOK UNAUTHORIZED INSURANCE COVERAGE

ACTIVE SHOOTER EXERCISE AT BLOOMSBURG
An active shooter training exercise is scheduled this week at Commonwealth University’s Bloomsburg campus. The Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania Bloomsburg Police Department says about 30 officers will take part in drills Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Bakeless Center. The training is part of the FBI’s Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training program and will include the use of simulated munitions, with officials emphasizing there is no threat to the public.
LARGE CROWDS AT FARM SHOW FOR THE WEEKEND

Jeff Behrman (BEAR man), over the weekend, was officially introduced as the new Bucknell Head Football Coach, after Dave Cecchini (cha KEY knee) was let go last month.
Behrman comes to Lewisburg from his alma mater, John Carroll, where he guided the Blue Streaks to a 29-7 record in three seasons as head coach.
