State police say a 65-year-old Winfield man was killed Wednesday evening when his motorcycle hit a deer in Union Township. According to the Daily Item, investigators report the rider was traveling north on Trutt Road around 6:30 when two deer ran into the roadway. His Harley-Davidson struck one of the animals, throwing him from the bike. First responders rushed him to Well Span Evangelical Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER BITING FIRE OFFICER, KICKING EMT
A 54-year-old Montoursville woman faces multiple charges after allegedly resisting police and medical personnel. According to North Central PA dot com, Penny Havens was found unconscious and intoxicated near Church Alley on September 11. Authorities say she became combative, biting a Montoursville firefighter and kicking EMS workers during transport to UPMC Williamsport. Havens now faces charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. She’s being held at Lycoming County Prison on $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court September 22.
THREE INDICTED IN WILLIAMSPORT FOR SELLING METH IN THE REGION
